AMA Structural Mechanical Division is awarded by Bechtel EPCM Contractor the prestigious project of supplying 427 Potshells for the Alba line-6 Aluminum Smelter Project.

The project consists of appx 20000 MT high grade steel materials to be processed in the highly specialized manufacturing facility of AMA-SMD. The project will be delivered starting mid-2017 and scheduled to complete by mid-2018.

Supplying pot shells to 7 major smelter projects worldwide AMA has the proven capabilities and experience to ensure the timely delivery and completion of this project. This reflects once again into the decision by Alba and Bechtel to intrust the supply of this most critical equipment to AMA Group, and continuing the long term relationship between AMA, Alba and Behctel in their Aluminum Smelter projects which has spanned the past 3 decades.

Alba will be the world’s largest single-site Aluminium smelter upon completion of the Line 6 Expansion Project, which will boost its production by 540,000 metric tonnes per annum (mtpa) bringing Alba’s total production capacity to 1,500,000 mtpa. Line 6 will have 424 pots that will use the proprietary EGA DX+ Ultra technology thus significantly increasing operating efficiencies. This Line-6 will be appx 1.3 kilometers long, which will include Pot-shells supplied by AMA.
