  Gulf BID 2013 (Jan 2013)
AMA Group announces their plans to once again exhibit at the Gulf BID Expo to be held between 7th-9th May at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Conference Centre. AMA will present itself as a truly integrated contracting, building materials and trading company.
  Gulf Industry boosts sales for AMA Motors (Jan 2013)
Gulf Industry gave AMA Motors an excellent platform to display their range of heavy construction vehicles and machinery, with several enquires and orders being taken. This included on the last day of the fair the sale of the MAN TGS 40.480 Tractor unit which was on display to ALSHARIF International Freight Services. With a Gross Combination Weight of 160 tons the MAN TGS 40.480 Tractor unit was first example of the MAN heavy hauler unit to be brought to Bahrain by AMA Motors.
  Opening Day of Gulf Industry 2013 (Jan 2013)

  2012 Good Year for AMA Motors (Dec 2012)
In a recent interview the MAN Middle East vice-president sales and marketing David van Graan praised the efforts of the AMA Motors Team; "This year we have seen a booming market in Bahrain with positive vehicle demand and the entire team in Bahrain has set out to improve on the levels of service provided to our customers."
  Ministry of Works awards AMA Sewerage & Drainage Scheme Contract to AMA (Dec 2012)
AMA Contracting was recently awarded the Saar Sewerage & Drainage Scheme contract (value of approx. BD 5.5 million) which is in addition the existing Sewerage works being delivered in Riffa, Buri and Seef.   AMA is currently delivering BD 11 million of contracts for the Ministry of Works.
  ARABAL, Qatar - AMA SMD (Nov 2012)
AMA SMD recently participated in the 16th Annual International Arab Aluminum Conference and Exhibition (ARABAL) hosted by Qatalum. With 40 exhibitors including the principal aluminum manufacturers from the region the conference attracted more than 500 visitors from 50 countries. Aluminum production in the region accounts for 25% of the total global production.

MAN Truck and Bus invitees AMA Motors to the International Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) commercial vehicles trade show in Germany, highlighting their commitment to serve the regional market.
  AMA Group Business Transformation (April 2012)
As part of the AMA Groups business change program to improve efficiency within the Group and to enhance communication with the wider business community the Group has embraced a new company aim, “To build relationships on integrity and performance”. In addition a new corporate logo and corporate DVD was also approved by AMA shareholders.
  GulfBID – AMA Group Stand 1C31 (April 2012)

  Ministry of Works visits Riffa Drainage Project (April 2012)
Early April the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works Mr. Khalifa Ebrahim Al Mansoor visited the site of the Riffa Drainage Project (total value approx BD 3 million), which was awarded to AMA Contracting in Q3 of 2011. He expressed his appreciation of the work done so far and especially praised that the project is ahead of schedule.
  Maaden Aluminum Smelter Project Saudi Arabia (April 2012)
SMD has the contract to deliver some 721 potshells to the Maaden Aluminum Smelter Project in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. So far some 400 pots have been delivered without any claim or delay. SMD is sure to deliver the remaining pots also as per contract, which will last until the 4th quarter of 2012. The client for this project is Bechtel (USA).
  Salman Overpass Project (April 2012)
AMA Building Material awarded the contract to deliver all readymix and reinforcement requirements for the Mina Salman Overpass Project. Deliveries started in April 2012.
  AMA Motors - Q1 2012 successes (April 2012)
The Refurbishment and rebranding of the Riffa site is almost complete and the Q1 results across Sales, Service and Parts have been very strong. With a new team in place we are actively and aggressively targeting our market to explain and demonstrate the improvements we have made so far and plan to make in the future to grow the business and improve customer satisfaction.
  Opening of King Faisal Detour Phase 1 (March 2012)
In line with the agreed plan between the Ministry of Works and AMA Contracting the Phase 1 of the King Faisal Detour Project (in front of BFH) was opened on the 24th March in time for the F1 event in Bahrain. It will help to improve the flow of traffic to and from the race course. Phase 2 of this contract is still under construction.
  MAN trucks
AMA Motors currently has over 40 trucks on order and arriving from MAN of which more than half are already booked to customers.
  AMA Motors and ZF Sign Deal (January 2012)
In January 2012 AMA Motors signed a deal with the German company ZF to become the agent for them in Bahrain. This is an exciting venture for both parties and will further develop and strengthen our Service and Parts operation in Bahrain.

Continuing our strong relationships we signed a deal to deliver around BD 0.5 Million of equipment during Q1 and Q2.
  Four Season contract award to AMA Scaffolding (Feb 2012)
AMA Building Materials, Scaffolding Division has recently been awarded the contract to supply scaffolding for Four Seasons Hotel Project in Bahrain.
  Hidd Praxair Gas Plant awarded to AMA Contracting (January 2012)
Following the successful delivery of Phase 1 of the Praxair Hidd Gas Plant AMA Contracting has secured the second phase of construction. The Hidd Gas Plant will supply the new Hidd Steel Plant, a $1.2 billion (US) investment set up by the United Steel Company (SULB), a joint venture between Bahrain-based Gulf United Steel Holding Company (Foulath) and Japan's Yamato Kogyo Company. The gas plant will be commissioned mid of 2012.
  BAPCO Shutdown Awarded to Petro Chemical Division (PCD) (January 2012)
AMA’s PCD part of the AMA Contracting sector together with two other contractors has been awarded the 5 year Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) shutdown maintenance contract with a total value of some 21 million BD. PCD has for the past 25 years executed this activity for BAPCO and this further award reaffirms the quality of service given by PCD to BAPCO, a key client of AMA Group.
  AMA SMD - Bechtel / Rio Tinto aluminum smelter project Kitimat Canada (Dec. 2011)
SMD is a world leader in the production of potshells to the aluminum industry with successful projects including Qatalum (Qatar), Sohor (Oman), Emal (UAE) and Alcoa (Iceland). This excellent track record was a key factor to being awarded the $20 (US) million contract to deliver all the potshells required by the new Bechtel / Rio Tinto aluminum smelter in Kitimat, Canada. The deliveries will be by ship directly from Bahrain to Canada throughout 2013. This important export contract will position SMD again as the leader in this type of equipment.
  Solios Maaden Smelter Project (KSA) fabrication contract awarded to AMA SMD (Nov 2011)
Solios Carbon and Solios Environment both divisions of the French Solios Five Group have recently awarded ducting and filter outlet fabrication works for their Maaden Smelter Project in KSA to SMD.
  New Doha International Airport (NDIA) contract award to AMA Scaffolding & Formworks (Oct 2011)
AMA Scaffolding & Steel Formwork a part of AMA Building Materials Sector has been awarded contract to supply scaffolding for NDIA project in Qatar. This Division is rapidly expanding in several new markets including, K.S.A, Qatar & Sultanate of Oman.
