AMA Group participated in this year’s Bahrain Marathon Relay which took place on Friday 28th October 2016. About 2000 people watched the first set of runners leave the starting line, kicking-off one of Bahrain’s most exciting social and sporting events. The 36th Marathon Relay was run this year by 198 teams of to 16 runners each (16 legs). The event was held under the patronage of His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This year an estimated BD30,000 was raised for local charities.
AMA Group participated in the race with two teams, Red and White. There was much competition between all teams and in the end, Team Red finished in 24th place and Team White 37th place.
